Montana tries again with another transgender genocide Law

Montana’s first attempts at transgender genocide were overturned by a federal judge after a stern warning not to try it again. Governor Greg Gianforte just signed another bill into law and is obviously pleased to follow in the footsteps of those who forced others down that rail before him.

The UN defines the word “genocide” as first coined by Polish lawyer Raphäel Lemkin in 1944 in his book Axis Rule in Occupied Europe. It consists of the Greek prefix genos, meaning race or tribe, and the Latin suffix cide, meaning killing. Lemkin developed the term partly in response to the Nazi policies of systematic murder of Jewish people during the Holocaust, but also in response to previous instances in history of targeted actions aimed at the destruction of particular groups of people. Later on, Raphäel Lemkin led the campaign to have genocide recognised and codified as an international crime.

Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide
Article II

In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

  1. Killing members of the group;
  2. Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
  3. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
  4. imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group
  5. Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group

Currently, 14 states including Montana require the applicant to be sterilized as a condition for Birth Certificate gender marker change.

Arkansas has made medicine illegal to obtain for transgender minors while remaining legal for the rest of the population.
Arkansas now requires the removal of transgender children from their parent’s custody if they are found to be in violation of the above law and imprisoned under the state child abuse laws.

These crimes against humanity and are in contravention of the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of
Genocide
, which the US ratified in 1948.

Additionally, these laws are inviolation of the 14th Amendment, 19th Amendment, Title VII employment law, the Title IX education law, the Fair Housing Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and the Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution.

At least 20 states have filed over 60 ANTI TRANSGENDER LAWS, most targeting transgender children, which clearly demonstrates a concerted action by republicans to eradicate an age and class of people.

Western Europe has all but ended forced sterilization of transgender people recognizing a requirement for it any reason is equivalent to genocide.
