Angie Miles

Warm and genuine, Angie provides clients a non-judgmental, compassionate and safe space to work through life’s challenges. She works with adults, adolescents, couples, and those in nontraditional relationships. She has experience supporting clients through depression, anxiety, self-harm, trauma, life transitions, and marital/relationship counseling.

 

Angie has taken 60+ hours of training in ADHD and Autism and will be soon be a Certified Clinical Services Provider for both ADHD and Autism. She helps her neurodiverse clients recognize their uniqueness and learn skills to be successful in their life goals. 

 

In addition, she frequently work with LGTBQ+ youth and adults. For her transgender clients, she writes gender affirming letters. She follows the standards of care for transgender people and gender nonconforming people as described by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (Version 8).

Angie is also trained in the Trauma Recovery and Empowerment model, a group approach to healing from the effects of trauma, and frequently serves clients through the Georgia Crime Victims Compensation Program. For adolescents, she offers a Teen Resiliency Group for anxiety and depression.

 

Angie's past experience includes working with adults in residential treatment center for substance abuse, and a residential facility for adults with serious mental illness. In addition, she has extensive volunteer experience with youth through scouting organizations, church youth groups, a Gay-Straight Alliance high school group, and facilitating human sexuality education classes for youth.


Angie is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia and a National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors. She earned a Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling from Marymount University, a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Emory University. Angie is under the clinical supervision of Pegge Riley LPC, CPCS.
