Welcome!

Hi, my name is Barbara Thibaud-Daniels (she/her) and I am a Professional Master Certified Emotional Support Specialist and Coach, a Certified Victims of Abuse & Trauma Support Specialist, Transgender, Gender Non-conforming, and Non-binary Emotional Support Care Professional, Gender Affirming

Mental Health Professional, and a Licensed Ordained Minister offering Pastoral Care Services and Counseling. I am the Mama to six amazing kids, one of which is a non-binary/trans college age teen, one a lesbian teen, and as you can see in my pic, have a fluffy, adorable labradoodle named Moo.

I specialize in working with Lgbtq+ Kids, Teens, Adults, Parents, Couples, Partners, Family Members, and Allies for all their emotional supportive needs. Whatever your needs are, I meet you where you are at. Some of the areas I can support you with are: Emotional and Trauma Support, working through personal issues with your own feelings, or with family, school. work, friends,or peers, Gender Affirming Emotional Support, Body Dysphoria, Pre/Post-Operative Emotional Support for Gender Affirming Surgeries, Family Planning Emotional Support, and Personal Coaching to work towards goals. If I haven't listed something you are seeking help with, please ask me.

All my services are done as a secular mental health provider; however, I do also offer Pastoral Care Services and Counseling for those who want emotional support with a loving Christian aspect or who want help working through hurts and rejection they felt from their religious family. friends, and/or church. I customize my sessions to what works best for you, so you feel comfortable sharing and working with me.

There is a great need, now more than ever, for there to be a safe caring place for LGBTQ+ individuals, parents/caregivers, family members, and partners to share and be able to be completely vulnerable and transparent about what's going on in their lives, how they feel, and what they need. I try to help everyone feel validated, supported, empowered, and uplifted.  Hopefully you then move forward feeling happier, encouraged, and inspired knowing that you have an ally on your side who is just a phone or video call away whenever you need.

With me you can safely share anything, even if you think no one would understand. You can vent, cry, share your anger, frustration, and fears as well as all your joys and triumphs. I am on your side. I will be your listening ear and the person you can safely talk things out with. I will help you every step of the way and guide you with making realistic goals for you to work towards.

Parents/Grandparents/Family Members:

You need support too! You know the saying when it comes to raising kids... "It Takes a Village". Let me be part of your village to help support YOU emotionally.

Wherever you are on your journey with your lgbtq+ child, whether you are just finding out or have known for a while, various emotions and situations may come up that you could use someone to talk to about it with who will understand. Someone you can be transparent with who will care and offer positive support and encouragement. Sometimes in emotional moments families can turn on each other and want to lay blame rather than too each other. Let me help you work through any tough emotions so you can grow closer as a family.

Schools/Colleges/Other Relative Agencies or Therapy Providers:

I would love to work with you to provide supportive care for your lgbtq+ students, staff, and their families. I am happy to have you refer students or staff to me that could benefit from my specialty in lgbtq+ emotional and trauma support. I can help your LGBTQIA+ students adjust to elementary, Middle, High School or College life, struggling with navigating socially, facing peer or family challenges, questioning their gender/sexuality,body dysphoria, wanting gender affirming support, or who need emotional support for personal reasons, trauma, or abuse. I am someone they can share and vent to who will listen and offer positive encouragement and proactive coping skills. As a support specialist and coach, I am legally qualified to work with clients from any state and internationally.
